There are belief cords that make up our core. When we are young, these cords are given to us as morals and societal teachings. However, as we grow and our spine lengthens, these cords can be very limiting. The practice then becomes an unwinding of these core belief patterns. As we unwind a major cord, there may be moments of instability as the body and mind shift towards a deeper equilibrium. As well, when a cord from within unwinds there will be strands and examples of this cord all around us; the belief will seem to fill your awareness. This is a good sign that you are doing deep work. As we continue to unwind these belief cords, the spine lengthens, the body balances, and eventually the strands are unwound and completely fall away. We are left with space. A space to breathe and a space to create, we are able then to create a new core belief if we so choose.
